Jones Apparel Group
Project Background
Jones Apparel Group, Inc., (JAG) is a Fortune 500 company and leading designer, marketer and wholesaler of branded apparel, footwear and accessories. Business changes and systems upgrades prompted JAG to enlist the services of Peach State to help understand how to maximize their current apparel distribution network and minimize costs. Through extensive logistics modeling, Peach State helped JAG answer key supply chain questions that enabled them to build a roadmap for success.
Mizuno
Project Background
Mizuno USA was experiencing double-digit sales growth when they determined that a new distribution center was needed to meet their business objectives. Customer requirements were also changing as key accounts (big box retailers such as Dick’s, TSA, Target, Wal-Mart) were continuing to drive sophisticated compliance requirements to make product store ready. Furthermore, customers were demanding that order cycle times be reduced to less than 5 days from order receipt to ship.
Carter's
Project Background
Shortly after becoming a publicly-traded company, Carter’s needed more space and a more efficient operation to handle this increase in volume. A building had already been acquired in Stockbridge, GA when Carter’s partnered with Peach State to design the DC. Carter’s had several different business drivers affecting the DC design effort including a planning horizon of 2007 and high volume fluctuations due to seasonality of large cube fleece products. Carter’s had also added Wal-Mart as a customer and expanded their footprint with Target.
